Hull boss Bruce: We're all desperate for Man Utd's Moyes to succeed

Hull City boss Steve Bruce is desperate for David Moyes to be a success at Manchester United.

Moyes's battle to succeed as Sir Alex Ferguson's successor is proving an arduous task, but Bruce insists the managerial community is 'desperate' for the Scot to pull through at United.

"We are all desperate for Moyesey to succeed and he will," Bruce told the Telegraph. "He will succeed because he has proved over the years that he is an experienced and talented manager.

"The one thing you need at a new club is time. It is what we all crave and, when you replace somebody like Sir Alex, the amazing success he had would make it difficult for anybody. But we are all itching for David to do well.

"You go back to Mark Robins's goal against Nottingham Forest and the struggle Sir Alex had. The one thing he needed was time, but the people who employed him believed he was the man for them.

"I signed for United in 1987 and we didn't win anything until 1990 - three years! But when success came, it opened the floodgates and that's because, when Sir Alex needed the time from the board, they stood behind him. I am sure they will do that with Moyesy too because I am convinced he is the way forward."
