Hull City boss Steve Bruce is delighted Gedo has received his visa.
The loan signing from Al Ahly is expected on Humberside today.
Bruce said: "Knowing that Gedo is on his way to us at last is a huge boost.
"There was a time when I genuinely feared we wouldn't be seeing him until Christmas.
"But we know, from having him here last season, that he has got goals in him and that he is a class finisher.
"I believe he has the quality to be a regular scorer in the Premier League."
