Hull boss Bruce wants permanent deals for Man Utd, Arsenal loanees

Hull City's Steve Bruce admits he would love to sign Nick Powell and Isaac Hayden permanently.

21-year-old forward Powell joined the Tigers on loan from Manchester United on deadline day while 20-year-old Arsenal midfielder Hayden has been at the KC Stadium since the start of the season and Bruce admits he would love to see both talents join his side on a less temporary basis.

"With Nick Powell and Isaac Hayden I would love to make the deals permanent right now," he told BBC Radio Humberside.

"They're the type of young lads you build your club around.

"They weren't interested in January but it's something we'll prolong and see what happens in the summer."

While Hayden, who has appeared 15 times for Hull, was cup-tied for Saturday's FA Cup fifth round clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, Powell started and played 78 minutes of the 0-0 draw in what was his debut for the Humberside outfit who currently top the Championship table.
