Hull City boss Steve Bruce has Celtic striker Georgios Samaras on stand-by.
The Daily Star says Bruce's priority is West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long.
But if he is knocked back again he will turn to Celtic's former Manchester City ace Samaras, who will not sign a new contract when his current deal ends next summer and wants a Premier League return, says the Daily Star.
