Hull City boss Steve Bruce is unsure how Newcastle United fans will 'welcome' him today.
The last time Bruce took a team to St James' Park, he was Sunderland manager. His team took a 5-1 battering and Bruce's reign at the Stadium of Light, and his relationship with Mackem supporters, never really recovered.
Bruce said: "I haven't quite worked out what the reception will be yet. I am a Geordie at the end of the day but I'll still get a bit of stick I suppose. I don't think they'll forget where I managed once upon a time.
"It's always nice to go back, even if I do get a bit of stick. I'm born and bred there and I can't deny that Newcastle were the team I followed as a boy. It's always nice to go home and play against them. It's an intimidating place to go and play.
"I hope it's better than last time when I got beat five. I can remember that one vividly."
