Hull City boss Steve Bruce says Paul McShane will remain frozen out until he apologises.
Defender McShane has been made to train with Hull's under-21 squad and suffered was ordered to play against Mansfield in the Final Third Development League on Monday night as further punishment.
Hull boss Bruce will not say what their row was about.
But has demanded the Ireland international says sorry to him and his Tigers team-mates.
Bruce said: "There's been a lot talked about Paul McShane, it's quite simple.
"I've heard a lot about nonsense on Twitter.
"He knows why he's training with the under-21 squad at the moment. He's been quite quick to reveal that he is in there.
"I hope that he comes out and tells the reason why.
"If he apologises to myself and the squad then he will come back into the fold.
"It's entirely up to Paul."
