Hull boss Bruce: Stability key to Premier League safety

Hull City boss Steve Bruce feels clubs are being rewarded this season by sticking with their managers.

The bottom three places of the Premier League are occupied by clubs which have sacked managers this season.

Bruce said: "If you're a bottom-half club, you can go six or eight weeks without a win quite easily.

"It happens at the top end.

"When you see someone like Arsenal getting beat 5-0 and 6-0, that shows you what we're up against.

"I think it proves that, unless players have downed tools totally, it's not always the right decision to sack the manager.

"We've seen a flurry this year. Sometimes it works, at Palace for example, but it's difficult.

"I wish all the managers well because I know how difficult it is, especially managing in this league, where you do come under pressure."
