Hull boss Bruce says signing plans not over

Hull City boss Steve Bruce says their signing plans are not over.

Bruce remains in the market for at least one more senior addition before the transfer window closes on September 1. Moves for an experienced centre-back have so far come to nothing, while it is understood the City boss is open to the prospect of bringing in a season-long loan player to strengthen his midfield.

A patient approach has been adopted on the back of five new signings and Bruce told the Hull Daily Mail: "It's been very quiet.

"The owner (Assem Allam) was 75 on Friday. They went away on holiday. I think it's the first time he's had a holiday since he bought the club, that's what he told me. I read into that that he didn't want to be disturbed!"
