Hull City boss Steve Bruce says his relationship with Assem Allam remains rock solid.
Allam continues to back Bruce despite their season struggles.
"He's a wonderful old man and what he's done for the club and the community is nothing short of remarkable," said Bruce.
"The relationship will always be good. I'll always have the biggest respect for him and that's not going to be any different - even if he sacks me.
"I think the vast majority of people are intelligent enough to know that we've had a really tough three months in terms of getting people on the pitch.
"If you took seven or eight players out of any team, it would have a horrible effect. It's been a constant and difficult problem.
"We're all judged on results. The one thing I want to do for him is keep this club in the Premier League. That is my main focus but I don't take it for granted."
