Hull boss Steve Bruce does not know where reports linking him to Southampton earlier in the summer came from as he is happy at the KC Stadium. Speaking about the Southampton story, Bruce told the Hull Daily Mail: "I don't know where that came from.
"I haven't got an agent but all agents seem to claim to represent me. That means a lot of rubbish comes out.
"There was never any intention for me to move on. I've said it from day one that I'm perfectly happy here.
"I'm one of the fortunate ones. The people who employ me let me manage and that is vitally important for me."
Bruce, who now operates on a one-year rolling contract with Hull, added: "I've said it several times how grateful I am to the owners here.
"They trust me to do my job and that's not something you can take for granted in football.
"They've given me nothing but support during my time here and backed me financially whenever I've asked. This summer has been no different. I've asked for players and they've delivered."
