Hull boss Bruce to land bumper pay rise

Hull City are ready to hand manager Steve Bruce a new deal following their promotion success.

The Daily Star says Bruce has returned the Tigers to the top flight after a three-year absence in his first season as boss.

The former Manchester United skipper, who twice led Birmingham into the Premier League, still has two years left on his deal.

But he will be offered an extended agreement in talks with City chairman Assem Allam this week.
