Hull City boss Steve Bruce says Tom Huddlestone deserves an England recall after his performance in victory at Sunderland.

Bruce repeated his belief that Huddlestone's return to the England squad is long overdue, and that he could have a role to play in Brazil this summer.

The Hull boss said: "When you give a Tom space like he had today, he can give a masterclass. He is a wonderful midfield player.

"In Brazil it will be slow tempo and people can't charge around in 100 degrees. If you give him time like he had he is a wonderful player and he is complemented with Jake Livermore."
