Hull boss Bruce fears for British managers after Moyes sacking

Hull City boss Steve Bruce fears for British managers after Manchester United's sacking of David Moyes.

Bruce has told The Times he hopes British managers are still given a chance to shine after Moyes' exit.

"I've had many a time with Ryan (Giggs) on holiday over the last few years and he's always on about fancying a crack at it, that he wants to stay in the game," Bruce said.

"He loves it so much. He's a quiet person, a quiet personality, but I know he's doing his Pro License and he gains a huge respect straight away.

"In the past, big clubs or countries have given the job to big players. Ryan is the most decorated player that has ever been.

"He's played at United all his life, been there since he was a boy. The club is not going to daunt him.

"He's used to it. It's in his DNA. I just hope he gets a few results and gives them something to think about. Why not? Why can't it be Ryan?"
