Hull City boss Steve Bruce has denied reports of moving for Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher.

Bruce seemed bemused as to where the Fletcher had appeared from.

"I don't know where that's come from," Bruce said.

"We are looking to see if we can strengthen, of course we are, and I'm sure I'm going to be linked with numerous players, but some of the ones that have been mentioned are certainly not true."
