Hull City boss Steve Bruce was delighted with goalscorer Shane Long after their 1-1 draw with Tottenham.
Making his first appearance at the KC Stadium since arriving from West Brom, Long took just 12 minutes to open his account, racing onto a Nikica Jelavic flick on, before slotting past Hugo Lloris.
"He is something we have not had before because of his pace, which gets him away from defenders," said the Hull boss.
"His goal summed it up: he got the flick on and burst through. He will give us what we have lacking before.
"I was also delighted for Nikica Jelavic. He could have scored and could have scored against Crystal Palace and he has only been with us 10 days."
