Hull City boss Steve Bruce hopes to extend the loan of Manchester United winger Robbie Brady.

The United man's loan deal is due to end soon and Bruce revealed he has been in touch with former boss Sir Alex Ferguson over keeping the 20-year-old.

Bruce added: "I spoke with Sir Alex and we'd like to either extend his loan until the end of the season or make his move permanent.

"But David Gill is away and we will have to wait until he is back before we can sort all that out."
