Hull City boss Steve Bruce admits Hatem Ben Arfa's work ethic isn't up to Premier League standards.

Ben Arfa's loan from Newcastle United is set to be canceled.

Bruce said: "There's been no bust-up and I have a big respect for his ability but in the game these days that is not enough.

"It's bloody hard work in the Premier League week in, week out. You have to have a certain work ethic.

"That's been the frustration with him. Of course we're all disappointed the move hasn't worked out.

"There have been no bad words between us but sometimes transfers don't work out. I wish him luck."
