Hull City boss Steve Bruce is still waiting to welcome new signing Gedo.
Gedo, who signed on-loan from Al Ahly, is still stranded in Dubai attempting to get a visa.
Bruce said: "The British embassy in Cairo is shut and only open for two days a week then you have to send your passport to Dubai so I don't know if we will see him before Christmas but he is trying desperately bless him to get here.
"The last I heard he was in Dubai trying to get his visa pushed through there because he can't come into this country without it."
