Hull City boss Phil Brown says Richie Garcia's call-up to the Australia squad this week is proof of how far the club has come in a short time.
Brown told the Hull Daily Mail: "I'm delighted for Richard. Signs of progress can be measured in all different ways and Richard's call-up is one of those.
"Then there's Peter Halmosi sitting on the bench for us on Saturday yet he's playing for his beloved Hungary tomorrow.
"You can measure within the camp how far we've come in a short space of time.
"It means there's a little bit of disruption in our squad but it's a welcome one in terms of us progressing.
"I would willingly see eight, nine, 10 players away come the February international break because that would mean we've done something right in the Premier League."
