Hull City boss Phil Brown admits he is seeking transfer talks with chairman Adam Pearson.

The Tigers could be counting down the days until crocked midfielder Jimmy Bullard returns from his six-week knee lay-off.

But, even with him, they could still need some more guile to survive again this season.

Brown said: "Maybe there will be an opportunity to bring in one or two players in the January transfer window.

"I shall be talking long and hard with the chairman about that."
