He said: "The Michael Turner represent tremendous business as far as we were concerned. It's disappointing you lose one of your best players, certainly over the last two or three years.
"Just had a phone call from Michael wishing us all the best and it goes his way as well. He's been a great servant for us the last two or three years but time to move on. I've brought in Ibrahima Sonko, obviously to try and replace the void or the gap that Michael will leave and we were trying desperately to sign a striker before the deadline closed but we were unfortunate."
