Hull boss Phil Brown has confirmed the club are interested in signing Bolton defender Abdoulaye Meite and Wolves midfielder Seyi Olofinjana.

Meite looks set to leave Bolton after dropping out of favour at the back end of last season.

Olofinjana is seeking to depart Wolves after activating a clause in his contract to be placed on the transfer list.

"Meite is somebody we are interested in but suddenly the price has gone from a minimal transfer to £3m and we're not interested at that price," Brown told Radio Humberside.

"Olofinjana could play in the Premier League and I would be interested.

"But there's been no contact and to say any more would be disrespectful as I've not talked to Mick McCarthy."
