Hull City boss Phil Brown remains hopeful of a deal for Bolton Wanderers defender Abdoulaye Meite.

"It's chairman to chairman and we are still talking," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail. "It's interesting as we go along, either Bolton will have to play ball or they won't play ball.

"At this stage, it's in their court."
