Hull City boss Phil Brown wants to sign Manchester United striker Fraizer Campbell in a permanent deal.

The Daily Mail says Brown will move with a £5million offer for Campbell when Manchester United finally land Dimitar Berbatov.

The England Under-21 striker was a huge hit at the KC Stadium during a loan spell last season, however Sir Alex Ferguson has so far blocked any move because of his lack of genuine strikers in his squad.

Brown ideally wants two new forwards and sees Campbell's pace as a key asset that could keep his team in the Barclays Premier League.
