Hull City boss Phil Brown has paid tribute to departing defender Ryan France.
"I sincerely hope he gets a club where he can play regular football," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.
"That's all he wants to do but he's been a great professional who deserves success.
"It's never nice to release any player. He's got to go home and tell his family he's not going to be offered a new contract.
"To have come through the divisions with the club, I guess it will disappoint supporters.
"He's got history with the club which is a rare thing in the modern game. Supporters will have an affinity and an affection for him but there can be no room for sentiment."
