Hull City boss Phil Brown admits he has ambitions to take charge of one of the big Northeast clubs.
Brown told the News of the World: "We attack clubs. I like to watch attacking football. Brian Horton (his No 2) is remembered as playing some of the best football at Manchester City in the last 30 years.
"We have a go. We could have gone down 7-1 at Manchester United but we kept going and got it back to 4-3. I was so proud. They were rattled.
"We beat Arsenal at the Emirates, then drew at Liverpool and I'm disappointed! I'm ambitious. One day I would love to manage Sunderland or Newcastle. I supported them both when I was a kid. Why be frightened to say it?"
