Hull boss Brown has no idea of Newcastle mood

Hull City boss Phil Brown admits they're going into the unknown as they travel to crisis club Newcastle tomorrow.

"I have no idea what is going to happen in Saturday in terms of Newcastle United," said Brown, who enjoyed watching both Newcastle and Sunderland as a child.

"All I can do is focus on Hull City.

"People have spoken of boycotting, of coming to the game and turning around and not watching it; they have spoken of all sorts of things - backroom turmoil, players not motivated.

"As far as I am concerned it's all their business and not ours.

"I have got to presume there are going to be 52,000 there - but 3,000 of them will be Hull City fans.

"What the atmosphere is going to be like, I don't know.

"It could be one of the best atmospheres at St James' Park for a long time. However, it could be one of the worst for a long time.

"I know what an atmosphere at St James' Park sounds like, looks like and feels like.

"It's intimidating but all I have got to do is focus on the attitude and mentality of the players coming out of our changing room and forget about what's coming out of the opposition's changing room."
