Hull City boss Phil Brown was happy to deliver a victory at Newcastle United to good friend Sam Allardyce.

Brown and Allardyce worked together at Bolton Wanderers and the Tigers boss knows his good friend was treated poorly by Newcastle last season.

"Do you want to see the text he sent?" teased Brown. "He just wanted to wish me all the best. He has no personal gripes but it didn't work out for him here and, hopefully, he will be back as a manager soon."
