Hull boss Brown hails amazing Boateng commitment

Hull City boss Phil Brown has hailed the commitment to the cause of new signing George Boateng.

The former Middlesbrough midfielder damaged his thigh against Fulham, but the major concern on Saturday came in the home dressing room at the KC Stadium after he had been taken off.

Brown said: "This is a guy who almost went off in a neck brace and then collapsed needing oxygen in the changing room. That's testimony to the player and that typified the performance of the whole team. He's reported in with a thigh strain, but that's not the only little niggle he's got.

"He didn't train yesterday. He'll be with the physiotherapist for the next few days. We'll assess the situation on Thursday where George is concerned."
