Hull boss Brown determined to prise Davies away from Bolton

Hull City boss Phil Brown won't give up his bid to land Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies.

Trotters boss Gary Megson is angry with Hull chief Brown for tabling what he regards as a derisory £1.5million bid for hitman Davies, 31.

Brown will now come back with a second offer of £3m.

A Tigers source told The Sun: "The manager has been trying to keep his interest under wraps but he is determined to sign Davies and will pay whatever it takes."
