Hull boss Brown delighted with two-goal King

Hull City boss Phil Brown was full of praise for two-goal Marlon King after yesterday's victory at Newcastle United.

Brown said: "There's been a lot said about Marlon King before he actually came to us.

"There were one or two doubters and a few eyebrows raised when he came through the door but I've found him nothing but a pleasure to work with.

"He recognises the ambition of the football club and my ambition and I know he's a player who wants to say to, say Wigan that he can score goals.

"He had the bottle to stick the penalty away because that wasn't easy. In the last home game Newcastle had a penalty and the keeper saved it.

"I thought that was one of the biggest moments of the season. If it goes in it relaxes everybody, we're ahead and it turns the home crowd a little bit more against their beloved team."
