Derby County boss Paul Jewell has accepted a reported £750,000 offer from Premier League new boys Hull City for striker Craig Fagan.

The permanent deal for the 26-year-old, who was on emergency loan with Hull from March, is set to be finalised in the next few days.

Hull boss Phil Brown told the Derby Evening Telegraph: "We've agreed a permanent deal for him now and he brings valuable Premier League experience to our squad."

Fagan started 36 games for County but managed only two goals in his 17 month stay at Pride Park.

It is the same fee Derby paid the Tigers for the striker in January 2007, before he was loaned back to Hull earlier this year.
