Hull boss Brown: Bullard knee injury not serious

Hull City boss Phil Brown has played down the absence of Jimmy Bullard from yesterday's 2-2 draw with West Brom.

Hull suffered a blow before kick-off when £5million record signing Bullard was ruled out with a knee injury.

Bullard made his debut off the bench in the 2-0 defeat at West Ham on Wednesday but suffered discomfort and missed subsequent training.

Brown added: "He jarred his knee on Wednesday. It frightened everybody because it is the same knee as the old injury but fortunately it is a fresh injury - if there is such thing as fortunately where injuries are concerned."

Brown added that he expects Bullard to train this week and the midfielder should be in contention for next week's trip to Chelsea.
