Hull City boss Phil Brown has slammed the "farce" of the January market.
Brown told the Hull Daily Mail: "It is an opportunity, of course it is, but also it's a cornered market that's in favour of the seller.
"We have valuations of players and are then valued out of the market by the player's demands or fee.
"I'm not in favour of these transfer windows at all. The agents and sellers have created a really false market.
"We'll be looking to tweak the team with getting in one or two in the window this time. But we plan long-term and it seems to me that the window is all about short-term fixes.
"And the fact that Sky has a countdown to it all, day by day, makes it a complete farce. The game suffers because of the excitement of it all."
