Hull City boss Phil Brown is delighted George Boateng is available for their season run in.

The veteran Dutch midfielder, 33, has been out since mid-January with knee ligament damage but is now ready to return.

Brown said: "Just to have someone like George around the squad is a big plus for us. To have that sort of experience in and around the dressing room again is very welcome.

"To start after such a long period out of action would be a big ask.

"But the psychological lift it can give the squad on what will be a tense occasion can only be a positive for us.

"He's looked very sharp. Hopefully, George can show he's ready for a place on the bench with a view to playing some part."
