Hull City expect to learn in the coming days the compensation price due Blackpool for the signing of Thomas Ince.
The Hull Daily Mail says a failure to agree a financial settlement with the Championship strugglers has now left the issue in the hands of the Professional Football Compensation Committee.
Blackpool are guaranteed a windfall when a panel sits on Thursday because Ince was under the age of 24 when leaving Bloomfield Road last summer and unable to leave on a free transfer.
City were understood to be willing to pay Blackpool up to £2m when the clubs were first in negotiations over Ince's move, but the Seasiders refused to budge on their valuation of £8m - offered by Cardiff 12 months earlier.
