Hull City are ahead of Nottingham Forest for West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long.

The Mirror says Hull boss Steve Bruce has not given up on the Ireland forward whose contract expires in the summer.

Forest indicated they would break the bank to sign Long, but he does not want to drop into the Championship.
