Tottenham defender Michael Dawson is edging closer to signing for Hull City.
The London Evening Standard says Dawson is likely to end his nine-year stay at Tottenham with Hull confident of clinching the signing of the central defender.
New White Hart Lane boss Mauricio Pochettino is thought to be happy to allow Dawson, 30, to leave as he tries to rejuvenate a defence that was often the Achilles heel of the side during the second half of last season.
Hull are expected to pay between £4-5million for Dawson, who has one year remaining on his contract. Talks between the parties are likely to continue this week and the transfer should be concluded once Dawson agrees personal terms.
