Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard says there was no problems with his knee in yesterday's scoring comeback against Bolton reserves.
Having undergone extensive knee ligament surgery in February, less than a month after joining the Tigers, last night brought a huge step forward in Bullard's rehabilitation.
He told the Hull Daily Mail: "I've been out for seven-and-a-half months, so to finally get out on the pitch and play in a proper game was brilliant. I was just looking forward to getting out there and playing football.
"The main thing was getting through 45 minutes and to do so was pleasing. I felt strong and wasn't worrying about the knee one bit."
Tigers manager Phil Brown, chairman Paul Duffen and coaching staff Brian Horton and Steve Parkin were all in attendance last night and they were not left disappointed.
