Hull City have accepted Southampton's £12.5 million bid for Shane Long.
The Daily Echo says Long is on course to become the second most expensive signing in Saints' history after Hull City accepted a £12.5m offer for the striker.
The 27-year-old Republic of Ireland forward will discuss personal terms before undergoing a medical at St Mary's, with the club optimistic of tying up his signing quickly.
Only Dani Osvaldo has cost the club more, with the Italian requiring an initial £12.9m to bring him in from Roma last summer.
