Hugo Sanchez was delighted to mark his first game as coach of Almeria with victory.

The 1-0 win over Real Betis came courtesy of an own goal and the Mexican legend said afterwards: "This win gives us all confidence to work better and prepare the team better, both physically and tactically.

"Before the game I could see the pressure was telling on the players. They were nervous and I needed to shake that feeling."
