Norwich City boss Chris Hughton was delighted with victory over West Ham United.
Hughton admits he is relieved to have secured a much-needed three points, with speculation over his future increasing ahead of Saturday evening's win, although he denies any suggestion that he has needed reassurances from the board in light of recent disappointing results.
"No, because I just continue to do the job that I do," the Norwich boss said, "Listen, I've been around a long time now in football. Of course, I'm aware of things that are said and of course newspapers and radio but it comes with the territory.
"You can't expect to have things easy when things are not going so well. This is a fantastic club with fantastic owners and I always speak about the team but I am equally as pleased for those upstairs."
Although Hughton insists his job was never under serious threat, he did admit to the international break being a welcome break from the intense and 'stressful' scrutiny of recent weeks.
"That's a nice thing," he laughed, "Yes, I think they should make it a three week break - throw another couple of international games in!"
