Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton says he'll make new signings this summer.
Hughton, however, insists he only needs to make minor adjustments.
Hughton told the Evening Chronicle: "One thing I'm positive about is come the start of the season, is that we'll have the amount of players we need to be able to compete.
"What I have said is that we have a competitive squad, and I'm not keen to disrupt too much of what we had last season."
But Hughton did convey the message to Toon fans that new arrivals are imminent in the next six weeks.
He went on: "What I'm very conscious of is that we need to add to the squad.
"It's something we'll definitely do.
"What's more important than doing it right at this moment, is to make sure we bring the right players in."
