Newcastle United boss Chris Hughton is happy to keep his backroom team small.
Hughton is currently assisted by experienced No 2 Colin Calderwood and goalkeeping coach Paul Barron.
He told the Evening Chronicle: "I am quite happy working with a smaller group of coaches.
"If I look at what we had last season, everyone works in different ways. Some other clubs in the Premier League probably have a lot bigger coaching staff, but I like the way we work and it works for me.
"I like to be on the training ground every day working with the players anyway.
"That is what I enjoy doing and it has worked for us."
