Norwich City boss Chris Hughton is planning to spend in January.

He spent £4.3million on Sebastien Bassong, Michael Turner, Javier Garrido and Steven Whittaker and Norwich have racked up five clean sheets already. Last season their third came on the final day.

"It's certainly a good feeling," he said. "When I came here in the summer I was made aware that there would be funds available.

"What I was very conscious of is there was a very good squad here. I've got good players here. It was just trying to get the right balance. I was keen to do that.

"We have done some work with the input of all those players coming in. It's never easy to integrate into a squad and the players that were already here have played a big part in that."
