Hughton to come up with new plan for Norwich on the road

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton admits he needs to find a new plan for his side away from home.

The Canaries have saluted in just two of their past 23 matches on the road and Hughton is aware he may have to change his tact if that statistic is to be broken.

"It is always a concern when you are not playing how you would like," Hughton told the Norwich Evening News in the wake of the weekend's 2-0 loss at Tottenham.

"Clubs like ourselves have to go through this. My role in the group is to assess it and see where we can improve.

"You can choose to play a very forward-thinking game high up the pitch and open yourself up; we have played the same shape in other games and got the results.

"We need to be better in possession and if that is the case we can work the ball further up the park and create more opportunities in and around the opposition penalty area."
