Newcastle United caretaker boss Chris Hughton accepts he has a huge challenge trying to keep the club up.

Hughton told the Evening Chronicle: "It's one of the biggest challenges I've had.

"The way you have to look at it is that we have to look after ourselves now and acknowledge that it's a big challenge for everybody around us too.

"Our main aim is to just do what we need to stay in this division."
