Hughes wants Stoke to make history at Chelsea

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes fancies their chances at Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho remains unbeaten in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge in his two spells as Chelsea boss... and that's over no fewer than 76 games in all.

"Possibly their form at the moment isn't where they usually are," Hughes observed, "but what you find with top clubs is they bounce back very, very quickly, and when questions are asked, top players and top teams have the answers.

"We have to be mindful of a backlash, but we are in a good place at the moment. And if there is a right time to go to a club like Chelsea it's when you are in good form yourself - and our current form is arguably better than Chelsea's.

"Confidence is always important at places like Chelsea, and we have to make sure we show that and show no apprehension, and then see where it takes us.

"We've had a decent month, and back-to-back wins is huge in the Premier League. Very quickly you go up the league."
