Mark Hughes was delighted with Stoke City's 2-0 win over Everton on Wednesday but insists he is not getting carried away.
The Potters moved up to eighth on the Premier League table with their third triumph on the trot but Hughes was quick to play down their current status as a top-half side.
"We are eighth in the league, where we haven't been too many times in the past so were pleased," he told Sky Sports.
"We've still got a lot of work to do."
Stoke have hit the magical 40-point milestone now which usually sees teams avoid relegation as they look ahead to the March 14 trip to West Bromwich Albion.
