Manchester City boss Mark Hughes was satisfied with his young team's performance in their friendly defeat to the UAE.
Hughes fielded an inexperienced team for the game, though the likes of Pablo Zabaleta and Benjani Mwaruwari did feature.
"It was good experience for the younger players in our squad but I was disappointed in the way we lost and that we didn't create much in the game in terms of chances," Hughes told City's website.
"The game itself was a little bit flat at times , perhaps as a consequence of the make-up of our team, but as I said the younger ones will have furthered their education."
